LeChase wins GC Project of the Year, other honors at ABC Carolinas EIC Awards

Two LeChase projects received 2021 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards from the ABC Carolinas Chapter.

Wins included General Contractor Project of the Year honors for the Duke University Chiller Plant #3. The Chiller Plant  also received the highest category honor – an Eagle Award – for industrial projects between $25 and $50 million. The plant came on-line in July 2020. It delivers 7,600 tons of chilled water for cooling campus facilities, including a new hospital bed tower.

LeChase also won an Award of Merit for The Cypress of Raleigh Villa E in the category for Multi-family projects between $10 and $25 million. Villa E is the last of five planned condominium buildings at the senior living community. In addition to building Villa E, LeChase handled the homeowner customization and selection process which, during COVID restrictions, required dozens of virtual tours for individual buyers.

Members of the project teams and LeChase Durham office attended the Chapter awards gala in Charlotte on November 4. Congratulations to everyone who played a role in these award-winning projects.
