This spring, LeChase continued its support of the Durham Public Schools’ skilled trades pathway. In March, April and May, employees from the Durham office served as guest speakers to high school seniors enrolled in the program at the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability. During the virtual sessions, LeChase General Superintendent JD Coomer talked to students about construction fundamentals. Regional Director of Safety Brooke Hathaway presented on construction safety.

LeChase has been involved in WayMakers since its planning stages. In fact, at the start of the 2019-20 school year, Regional Diversity Manager Denise Barnes helped welcome the first students into the Durham skilled trades program.
