LeChase banner ‘flying’ over downtown Durham

With a parking deck project ready to go vertical, the LeChase name is again visible over downtown Durham. Company banners are on a tower crane at 300 Main Street, where LeChase is building the seven-level, cast-in-place concrete structure. The crane lifts steel reinforcing and formwork to the deck’s upper levels.

When finished in summer 2022, the deck will provide 750 parking spots. These will mainly serve Durham county employees and residents of 110 affordable housing units on the site. The deck will also contain street-level commercial space for community-based businesses, and incorporate public art on the street-facing façade.

LeChase is construction manager for the 262,315-SF project.
