The Durham Police Department Headquarters has received a 2020 Golden Leaf Award.

In all, ten projects received Golden Leaf awards this year. LeChase was one of two recipients in the Large Development category.

LeChase partnered with the City of Durham and architect O’Brien Atkins Associates on the headquarters project, which held its grand opening in the fall of 2018. The building consolidates a number of police functions that were previously spread between several city locations. It also includes space for community use, with artwork in public areas reflecting local culture.

The ABC Carolinas previously honored the police headquarters at its 2019 Excellence in Construction Awards. The project received the highest category honor, an Eagle Award, among Commercial Projects over $50 million.
