A successful construction project takes more than completing the work on schedule. It requires strong collaboration, attention to the client’s needs and a shared commitment to delivering a quality result.
LeChase brought that approach to the recent Noyes bathroom renovation at Vassar College, where the NY Metro team served as construction manager for a multi-level renovation completed in time for the fall semester.
The project marked LeChase’s first construction management project with Vassar, while providing preconstruction services for other campus projects.
With a tight summer schedule and students returning in the fall, the project team worked closely with Vassar and trade partners to keep construction moving and address challenges as they arose. LeChase’s self-perform team also played an important role throughout the project, helping resolve layout and coordination challenges while putting in additional hours when needed to keep the project on schedule.
The team’s efforts made a strong impression on the Vassar project team.
“This team knocked it out of the park. Thanks for making my job easier,” said Maxine Coleman, assistant vice president for facilities operations at Vassar College. Bob Nilsson, project manager at Vassar, echoed that sentiment, saying that LeChase was a “very good team to work with” and “very attentive to the needs of the project.”
The project team also made an effort to recognize the people who helped make the project a success, hosting an end of the summer food truck lunch for all subcontractors and tradespeople to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
