On June 2, UR Medicine held a sneak peek of the Orthopaedics and Physical Performance Center. The evening included a hard-hat tour led by several UR Medicine and LeChase staff members. Those on-hand to view phase one of the project included Mark Taubman, M.D., CEO of the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), and Paul Rubery, M.D., Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedics.
Crews had held a topping off ceremony in February for the 330,000-SF facility. When completed, it will be one of the most comprehensive orthopaedic surgery and outpatient care centers in the country.
In addition to the tour, UR staff, board members and donors were able to sign a section of the wall that will be preserved behind a panel as a piece of URMC history.
