UR laser lab expansion marks topping out

On December 22, LeChase helped celebrate a topping out at the expansion of the University of Rochester Laboratory for Laser Energetics. A tradition in the construction industry, a topping out marks the final beam being placed atop a project’s structure.

LeChase built the original LLE facility, and is serving as CM-at-Risk for construction of the new three-story addition. The project broke ground in August, and is slated for completion in spring 2024. The addition will provide more office, clean room and lab spaces, including space for a new state-of-the-art AMICA laser system.
