LeChase joined Graycliff Conservancy at a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 6 to celebrate completion of the visitor center project.
LeChase Regional Operations Manager Chris Kulik spoke at the event, noting that building at the historic Graycliff estate was both an honor and a responsibility. “We’re proud to have contributed to preserving such an important piece of history and look forward to seeing the Graycliff Visitor Center continue to thrive for years to come,” he said.
The new visitor center features several architectural elements, including decorative cast-in-place concrete walls, full-height curtain walls, polished concrete flooring, natural woodwork and an inverted living roof system. These features enhance and expand the existing visitor center while maintaining the historic integrity of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff.
LeChase served as the general contractor on the project through its Buffalo office. The architects on the project were HHL Architects and SITU Studio.
