On August 6, The Lake House on Canandaigua held a ribbon cutting for its hotel and wellness center, which will officially open August 14. Representatives from LeChase – construction manager for the highly anticipated resort on Canandaigua Lake – were on hand for the event.

Co-developers Bill Caleo and Doug Bennett, along with the property’s general manager, Simon Dewar, spoke at the ribbon cutting. In addition to LeChase, members of the project team include owner’s representative HB Cornerstone, architectural firm SWBR, design agency Studio Tack, interior designers Brooklyn Home Company and engineering firm Passero Associates. The resort is owned by the Sands family – founders of Canandaigua Wine Company, which grew into today’s Constellation Brands.

Earlier this summer, a lakeside bar called The Sand Bar opened on the multi-building property. A restaurant and spa are scheduled to open in the fall.

Thanks to all LeChase team members who have worked on The Lake House, including Regional Operations Manager Kevin Hoffman, Project Managers Bill Ture and Kailly Mintel, General Carpentry Foreman Jerry Jones, Superintendent Neil Lawther and Assistant Superintendent Jordan Smith.
