Alfred University | Saxon Hill Sports Complex
This project involves the construction of a new state-of-the-art sports complex at Alfred University. The complex will include a sports center with locker rooms, a training room, a media room, offices and gathering areas. A new grandstand building will feature a dual-sided press box, public restrooms, a VIP lounge and bleacher seating for approximately 2,000 spectators. A new baseball building will also be added, with a press box, locker rooms, team rooms, concessions and a training space.
The project also includes multiple outdoor athletic facilities:
- A new synthetic turf baseball field with bullpens, dugouts, batting cages and pitching mounds.
- A full-size running track with multi-purpose synthetic turf field for field hockey and other sports with areas for shotput, discus, javelin and other track events.
- Upgrades and new sod seeding of the existing rugby field.
Additional scope includes video boards and sound systems, field lighting, a storage building and new parking areas – with lighting and utilities – for each of the fields.
