North Tonawanda City School District | Capital Project

The bulk of the $40 million capital project LeChase managed for the North Tonawanda City School District involved renovations and additions at the high school/middle school’s Meadow Road campus.

Additions were built to house a new, shared music suite and gym. That enabled conversion of two existing gymatoriums into a fixed auditorium and a library/media center. Crews also completed construction of a new all-sports stadium with concession stands, a new soccer field and upgrades to two multi-sport fields at the campus.

The new construction and renovations were largely done while school was in session. In fact, the library/media center renovation was in an area surrounded by active classrooms. The project team communicated often to update the district about the on-site activity, and tightly managed logistics to minimize disruption and noise for the students and staff.

Other district projects included a roof replacement, new baseball field and asphalt walking track at the intermediate school, as well as wireless data upgrades at all schools and various repairs to elementary school buildings.
