NC team earns highest-level rating in ABC Carolinas’ safety program

LeChase has earned a Diamond Award – the highest rating in the ABC Carolinas’ 2021 Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP).

The rating is based on LeChase’s participation in STEP and on achieving a safety record over the past three years that is significantly better than industry averages.

Established in 1989, STEP is a benchmarking and improvement tool developed and written by contractors for contractors. Participating ABC member firms measure their safety processes and policies on 25 key components. The goal is to implement and enhance safety programs that reduce jobsite incident rates. Overall, statistics show that STEP participants are 174% safer than the Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average, and that STEP Diamond-level companies are 655% safer.
