On March 4, LeChase took part in a media tour to mark the start of construction for the University of Rochester Medical Center’s future Center for Orthopaedics and Physical Performance.  LeChase is construction manager for the Center, which is the University of Rochester’s largest-ever offsite project.

“LeChase is proud to continue our long-term partnership with URMC as the construction manager for this center,” noted LeChase CEO and Managing Partner Bill Goodrich. “This transformative space provides a much-needed resource for ortho care that will be easily accessible for patients in our community.”

The 330,000-SF facility is being built at Rochester’s Marketplace Mall, a location centrally accessible via highways and public transportation. At Thursday’s event, the press toured a now-empty Sears store that crews will renovate as part of the project. The scope of work will also include a four-story addition. Although the target for completion of the campus is 2023, some office spaces should open as early as this summer.
