Corning, N.Y., January 30, 2018 – LeChase Construction Services, LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Russell B. Smith, director of business development, to vice president.
In this role, Smith leads LeChase’s marketing and brand awareness functions across all regions and markets. This includes initiatives to identify and develop new business opportunities and manage customer relationships.
Smith has almost 20 years of experience in the construction industry, largely in southern and central New York. He started his career as a purchasing assistant, progressing to roles in project management and business development. He joined LeChase in 2014 as regional director of business development for the Southern Tier, later adding responsibility for central New York. He became the company’s corporate business development director at the end of 2016.

An active member of his local community, Smith currently serves as commissioner on the City of Corning Planning Board, is a board member of Three Rivers Development, and sits on the executive committee as a board member of the Corning Community Foundation. He resides in Corning with his wife and their two children.
