LeChase participates in UMCNC annual meeting

Last week, members of the LeChase Southeast team participated in the 2023 United Minority Contractors of North Carolina (UMCNC) annual meeting. UMCNC works to connect its members to opportunities all across North Carolina through education, outreach, public advocacy and business development.

LeChase’s Regional Director of Community Engagement and Inclusion Denise Barnes serves as the vice chair of the board for UMCNC where she serves as the first point of contact for the board and works in conjunction with the board chair to ensure all committees are organized, functional and productive.

This year’s UMCNC event focused on the topic of leadership and featured panel discussions with leaders in legal, construction, finance and administration. Denise kicked-off the event with a welcome and LeChase Vice President Seth London was a panelist on the Leaders in Construction panel. Seth spoke on the topic of partnership and how LeChase is always looking to build meaningful relationships and partnerships not only with clients but in the community as a whole.

LeChase was also a sponsor of this year’s event. In addition to Denise and Seth, Tonya Funderburk, Kathryn Payne and Cinque Peoples, a student from Wake Tech, attended.
