LeChase attended an exclusive reception in Lake Placid to celebrate completion of the Lake Placid Olympic Center renovations and the opening of the new Lake Placid Olympic Museum. The Olympic Regional Development Authority undertook the renovations to prepare for the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games and to support future winter sporting events in Lake Placid.

LeChase played a role in two of the renovation projects. The firm handled additions and renovations to the lower, ground and concourse levels of the Olympic Center Miracle Plaza – the section of the Main Street complex that connects the 1932 and 1980 Olympic rinks. A new dining area and retail store, as well as a new space for the Lake Placid Olympic Museum that is housed in the building, were included in the project. In addition, LeChase rebuilt the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval, requiring placement of new refrigeration lines, concrete and other structural layers. The renovations were completed on schedule, in time for New York State to welcome the international athletic community.

The Lake Placid 2023 FISU Games, taking place January 12 – 22, 2023, are an 11-day multi-winter sports event and educational festival, which is expected to draw 1,500 athletes from more than 50 countries and 600 universities to compete in 12 winter sports and 86 medal events.
