LeChase continues Charlotte market growth, naming Kathryn Taylor Payne as regional operations lead

Charlotte, N.C., January 7, 2026 – LeChase Construction Services, LLC, has promoted Kathryn Taylor Payne to regional operations manager, supporting the company’s continued growth across the Charlotte market.

Over the past year, LeChase has made an impact in Charlotte through major projects that include a 98,000-SF Mecklenburg County Civil Court renovation currently in the preconstruction phase, a lab and administration building for a confidential science and technology client and the continued management of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ Capital Improvements Program – one of the largest K-12 construction programs in the nation.

In her new leadership role, Payne will provide support for both new and ongoing projects, oversee local operations, and work to further strengthen client, employee and subcontractor relationships in the area.

Since joining LeChase in the 2016 acquisition of Lendlease operations in Raleigh-Durham, Payne’s operational leadership and market knowledge have been instrumental in supporting LeChase’s growth in North Carolina and the Southeast. She has nearly a decade of experience leading complex construction efforts, including major projects for the education sector. Her work has been recognized with several prominent awards, most recently a 2025 Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas for a renovation and addition at the University of North Carolina at Chapell Hill’s Avery Residence Hall.
