LeChase celebrates start of Schenectady school improvements

On October 19, LeChase attended a ceremonial groundbreaking for a new outdoor athletic facility at the Mont Pleasant middle school. Regional Director of Business Development Mike Corey and Project Manager Thomas Sirianni represented LeChase at the event, which celebrated the start of Schenectady School District’s “Schenectady Revitalization Plan 2030.”

This past spring, voters approved the District’s $300 million capital program. In addition to the new athletic facility, the program will cover extensive work to eight school buildings and central kitchen upgrades. It also addresses other needs and renovations across the district. The first projects, slated to begin soon, include $25 million in construction, upgrades, and renovations at Steinmetz Career and Leadership Academy (SCLA) and $11 million at Van Corlaer Elementary School.

LeChase is serving as Agency CM/program manager with its partner Jacobs Engineering for the project. Construction is expected to be completed over the next seven years.
