Events help LeChase connect with students interested in construction

LeChase attended several recent career fairs in March, meeting with students interested in construction careers or internships.

March 19, Jobs in Construction Career Fair (Buffalo, N.Y) – Patrick Griffin of marketing and Project Executive Tim Jones attended this event, which provides graduating high school and college students an opportunity to learn more about careers in construction and the skilled trades. It was the second year for the Fair and the first time LeChase has attended.

March 21, St. John Fisher College Spring Career Fair (Rochester, N.Y) – It was the second year that LeChase hosted a booth at this annual event, which draws students from all majors at the school. Although the college does not have a construction program, Patty Neidermaier from HR and Ann VanAuken from risk management were on hand to talk to students about opportunities in LeChase’s staff functions.

March 27, Alfred State Career Fair (Alfred, N.Y.) – LeChase has long been a regular attendee at the college’s spring and fall career events. At the recent fair, Paul Cody and Marshall Hargrave – both from LeChase’s Corning office – spoke with a number of talented graduating students who had interest in both internships and full-time positions.

March 28, Greece Olympia HS Trades Fair (Rochester, N.Y.) – Project Engineer Courtney Lafferty attended the Greece Olympia High School Trades Fair. She talked to students about the construction industry and the exciting opportunities available for young people interested in the skilled trades.
