With colleges in session for the fall semester, LeChase representatives are once again meeting with students at various career fairs and events.

East Carolina University

On Wednesday October 4, Durham employees participated in East Carolina University’s Fall Career Fair. Attending were two East Carolina Alumni of the Construction Management program—Superintendent Jason Varner and Project Manager Will Whittington—as well as Assistant Superintendent Burnice Laws. All three spent the afternoon meeting with prospective interns, project engineers and assistant superintendents who were interested in a construction career and opportunities with LeChase. During that time, they collected more 50 resumes. Thanks to Jason, Will and Burnice for their attendance and their passion to develop young talent who—like themselves—will be future of the Southeast Region.

Utica College Construction Management Expo

On Wednesday October 11, representatives from LeChase’s Armonk and corporate offices attended the Utica College (UC) Construction Management Expo. The event included a keynote, panel discussion with former alumni, and an opportunity to talk with students in UC’s construction management Program.  It’s the third year the college has held the event, but the first year LeChase has had a booth.  Staffing the booth for LeChase were Assistant Project Manager Andrew Weiner and Vice President Renee Brown, both of the Armonk office, and Director of Organizational Development Cheryl Schmidt. The trio talked to about 30 students – time well spent in connecting with potential future talent for LeChase.
