ASCE members tour UB fieldhouse project

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) members in Buffalo recently visited the Murchie Family Fieldhouse that LeChase is building on the University at Buffalo’s north campus. Project Engineer John Gianadda hosted the tour along with Justin Tedesco from the project’s building manufacturer contractor Tedesco Construction.  During the tour, they discussed various structural aspects of the project. “We talked about the original design, the implications we faced installing the foundations and steel, and various options for making the design more construction friendly,” John explained.

While this tour included professionals who work in the construction, design and engineering industry, the LeChase project team previously hosted a tour for ASCE student members at UB.  LeChase is general contractor on the fieldhouse project, which is scheduled for completion next spring.
