This project features the construction of an 8,000-SCFM Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility that converts captured landfill gas into pipeline-quality natural gas for injection into a regional interstate pipeline. The facility purifies biogas collected on site and compresses it for delivery, recovering approximately 2 million MMBtu of RNG annually – enough to meet the heating needs of more than 30,000 New York households while avoiding or reducing more than 100,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year.

The plant uses a proven purification platform combining membrane separation and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) to bring the gas to pipeline quality. The scope included extensive process piping and electrical work spanning hazardous (Class I, Division 2) and non-classified areas, coordinated through 3D modeling to sequence a highly congested mechanical and electrical environment.
