Rochester, N.Y., December 16, 2025 – LeChase Construction Services, LLC is pleased to announce that two of its functional leaders – Cheryl Colavecchio and Russell Smith – have been named senior vice presidents. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Cheryl Colavecchio, who leads the company’s People and Culture team, is responsible for organizational development (OD), talent acquisition and human resources (HR) functions at LeChase. She joined the firm in 2015, bringing a unique blend of experience leading both OD and HR teams. Her career spans over 25 years in healthcare, non-profit, construction and consulting settings. Named vice president in 2022, she has a master’s degree in human resources development and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, both from St. John Fisher University. She is accredited as a Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Russell (Rusty) Smith leads the Marketing, Business Development and Communications functions across LeChase regions and markets. That includes responsibility for driving get-work efforts, growing brand awareness and enhancing customer engagement and relationships. Smith has over 25 years of construction experience, starting his career as a purchasing assistant and progressing to roles in project management and business development. He joined LeChase in 2014 as regional director of business development for the Southern Tier Region of New York, became LeChase’s corporate business development director at the end of 2016 and was named a vice president in early 2018.
