Groundbreaking kicks off UMU Path Lab project

On July 7, LeChase joined the Upstate Medical University team to celebrate the start of the Upstate Pathology Institute project at a groundbreaking ceremony. LeChase President Kyle Sayers and Vice President Kevin Hoffman attended the event alongside members of the project team.

Once complete, the three-story, 109,000-SF clinical lab facility will consolidate the University’s pathology services into a single location. The facility will also feature teaching, conference and employee support spaces, along with areas designated for drone and courier specimen transport.

LeChase – through its Central NY office – is serving as design-builder on the project, which is expected to be completed in spring 2027.
