Ribbon cutting marks completion of veterans area at Rochester airport

LeChase recently joined in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate completion of the new William T. Perkins Jr. Veterans Center at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.

LeChase Vice Chairman Will Mack, President Kyle Sayers and Senior Vice President Jim McKenna attended the event, along with project team members Jordan Smith, Bill Ture, Terry Van Slooten and Jerry Jones.

Named to honor Vietnam War photographer William T. Perkins Jr., the new space features exhibits recognizing veterans from every branch of the military. It will also serve as a gathering place for veterans participating in the airport’s frequent Honor Flights.

The Veterans Center is part of ongoing improvements at the airport, with LeChase serving as construction manager for the overall renovation project.
