SUCF- University at Buffalo | Crosby & Foster Hall Renovations

The Crosby & Foster Hall projects at the University at Buffalo feature the renovation and rehabilitation of two historical landmarks on the university’s campus. LeChase is the Agency CM on these projects, which total $63 million and are scheduled to be completed in June of 2025.

Constructed in 1932, Crosby Hall is 64,000 SF and houses studios and office space for the School of Architecture and Planning. Foster Hall, at approximately 77,400 SF, houses the Chemistry department and was originally constructed in 1921.

These renovation projects will convert Foster’s lab-intensive building to general academic space for the Graduate School of Education. Both buildings will go through gut renovations, hazardous materials abatement, ADA upgrades and receive new M/E/P and communication systems.

Externally, both rehabilitation projects feature enhancements to the granite stone buildings, replacement of oversized double-hung windows and slate roof repairs.
