To celebrate Construction Safety Week – held annually during the first week of May – LeChase projects across all regions hosted safety stand-downs, trainings and other events focused on promoting safe work practices.
- In Rochester, the team working on the Rochester Institute of Technology Music Performance Theater project held a stand down focused on fall protection and hosted a pizza lunch for the project’s subcontractors. The team at the Rochester Regional Health Geneva Destination Medical Campus project also held a stand down.
- In Buffalo, the Graycliff Conservancy Visitor Center project hosted a stand down and training session with guest presenter Jeremy Starr from MSA Safety. Jeremy discussed fall protection, demonstrated how to properly wear a harness and explained how to inspect one.
- In Central NY, teams conducted stand downs on several projects throughout the week, including the Cornell University CIS Building and the Syracuse University Catholic Center.
- In the Southeast, many projects held stand downs to celebrate Safety Week, including the Duke University Lilly Library renovation.
- The Conifer-LeChase team held a stand down on the James L Simmons Apartments project in Yonkers, NY.
- In the NY Capital Region, teams led stand downs on several projects throughout the week, including the Hospitality House, Hudson Heights, Mohawk Harbor Event Center, Saratoga County Airport, Charlton School and University at Albany Ten Eyck Hall projects.
These activities reinforced LeChase’s ongoing commitment to safety on every jobsite – ensuring all workers return home safely at the end of each day.
