LeChase appoints Matthew Hill as BIM managing director

ROCHESTER, N.Y., September 25, 2014 – LeChase Construction Services, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew Hill as BIM (building information modeling) managing director.

In his new role, Hill will be responsible for evaluating and managing software options for the firm’s overall vision of BIM; developing and enforcing organizational BIM standards and processes; identifying field solutions involving the use of BIM technology; informing and educating all LeChase stakeholders about the firm’s BIM capabilities; assisting with the production of BIM marketing material; and overseeing the planning and implementation of BIM companywide.

A proven industry leader, Hill brings nearly 20 years of technological experience to the LeChase team, having previously worked as a BIM manager at The Boldt Company, The Austin Company and Thorson Baker + Associates, Inc., and as a CAD (computer-aided
design) manager at two Cleveland-based engineering firms. “We are thrilled to have Matt’s strong technological background, guidance and support,” said Rick Allen, vice president. “Our decision to bring him aboard further demonstrates our commitment to meeting our clients’ needs, saving vital time and resources, and remaining at the forefront of the BIM movement.”

Hill received extensive training in CAD, lean techniques, computer hardware and software development from Fox Valley Technical College and Total Technical Institute, as well as Lorain and Cuyahoga Community Colleges. He resides in Cary, N.C., with his wife Liz and their son (6) and daughter (3).
