On Wednesday, July 29 the John Kam Building Historic Renovation project received top honor in the adaptive re-use/housing category at Buffalo’s Brick by Brick Awards.
Given annually by Buffalo Business First magazine, the awards recognize best-in-class real estate, construction and development in Western New York.
LeChase served as the construction manager on the project, which transformed the historic John Kam Malt House into a residential community featuring 86 apartments and commercial spaces while preserving the building’s industrial character and many of its historic architectural features.
A second LeChase project – the University at Buffalo Foster Hall Renovation – was a finalist in the collegiate category.
