The Corning Museum of Glass B Building Studio Expansion project has received a 2025 Baldwin Group Build America Award from the Associated General Contractors of America. The project was honored in the Building Renovation ($20 million to $75 million) category.
LeChase partnered with CJS Architects on the project, which more than doubled the Studio’s available space for glassmaking programs and popular attractions like Make Your Own Glass. The updated space also houses the first large-scale kiln casting facility in North America, leading-edge glassmaking technologies and an artist-in-residence center.
The project was previously recognized with an Award of Merit in the ENR NY Regional Best Projects competition.
LeChase Vice President Fred Thomspson and project team members David Hulse, Chris Morelli and Liam Rathbun accepted the award at the AGC National Convention in Orlando, FL.
