Under a General Contractor agreement, the LeChase team assisted in the construction of a 330,000 sq. ft. ambulatory care facility for occupancy in 1996.
The project has multiple components, including new facilities, renovations and extensive site improvements. The largest component of the project was to consolidate the outpatient diagnostic and treatment facilities of Strong Memorial Hospital, providing better patient access and amenities.
The Ambulatory Care Building is linked to the main hospital via a new Access Center, also constructed by the LeChase Team, which serves as a new front door for both the Ambulatory Care Building and the Hospital. Existing buildings have been renovated as necessary to accommodate this connection. A new 1,280 car ramp garage was also constructed. New Interim entry was provided to maintain the ongoing operations of the hospital during new construction.
